KUALA LUMPUR: A TikTok video featuring two women riding a motorcycle in heavy rain has captivated netizens, sparking widespread interest online.
Posted by user @itsmediana411, the clip shows one woman riding the motorcycle while the other sits in a sidecar attached to it. Both are dressed stylishly, even as they navigate the downpour on a bridge.
In the caption, the user, who filmed the video, expressed her hope that the duo would reach their destination safely, noting how they stood out in the stormy weather.
While many initially assumed the women were a mother and daughter, comments on the post later clarified that they are actually sisters. They were returning home from an open house when the rain began and have even travelled a considerable distance together on their motorcycle, including to far-off destinations like Ipoh.
The video has garnered over 900,000 views and 130,000 likes, prompting reflections from viewers about the unseen challenges others may face in life.
User @azrizeq remarked that sometimes it's not just about our difficulties but rather that we "aren't grateful enough." Meanwhile, @fkhrlakim noted that although everyone encounters hardships, there are "others facing even greater difficulties."
@hashimfauzi2 highlighted a concern, pointing out that the sidecar was "filling up with water" and emphasising that riding a motorcycle isn't easy to manage in such conditions.
