#NSTviral: Entrepreneur shares inspiring message during floods

KUALA LUMPUR: Amid the recent floods, a Kelantan-based cosmetic entrepreneur shared a message of resilience online while standing neck-deep in water.

Her action, however, has sparked concern among netizens.

In a Facebook post shared by Tengku Shah, she is seen wading through the flooded waters outside her home, with sheets and clothes drying on her gate.

Despite her challenging circumstances, she offers words of encouragement to others who are also affected by the floods.

In the video, the woman describes her situation as floodwaters rise perilously close to her mouth.

She expresses sadness over her damaged belongings, including a fridge and motorcycles.

Despite the challenges, she maintains a positive outlook, encouraging fellow flood victims to embrace their circumstances with hope and reminding them that hardships often have a silver lining.

She also advises those enduring hardships to stay patient and, turning the camera to her gate, highlights her brand, "Wanna Cosmetic."

With a touch of humour, she informs viewers that surveillance cameras are set up to deter would-be thieves.

The video has garnered over 313,000 views and nearly 2,000 likes.

Many netizens have expressed confusion over her decision to film in such muddy waters, sparking lively discussions online.

Facebook user Taufiq Aby Bakar said: "Even though she is a victim of flooding, please don't go in the water over your house gate."

Noral Hisham said the woman even managed to wear make-up while showcasing the floods.

Meanwhile, Lims Dean cautioned her in the comments, advising against staying too long in the floodwaters to avoid potential health risks.
