In a TikTok video shared by @0flying_without_wing0, firefighters wade through floodwaters waist-deep in Jitra, Kedah, as they approach a white kitten clinging desperately to a window.
The water rises ominously around the frightened animal, which meows pitifully in a bid to attract attention.
Fortune smiles on the kitten as the firefighters spot it and carefully lift the animal using a black bag, cradling it back to safety.
As they emerge from the floodwaters onto dry ground, the firefighters gently remove the shivering, waterlogged kitten from the bag. A passerby quickly steps in to take care of the frightened creature.
