KUALA LUMPUR: The Perodua Myvi is widely celebrated as Malaysia's "King of the Road". One driver may have taken this to heart because a Myvi has been spotted using the motorcycle lane on the Shah Alam Expressway (Kesas).

The Myvi could be seen boldly ignoring several exits in the lane.

Towards the end of the video, a tow truck, believed to be sent by the highway concessionaire, halted the car to question the driver.

The video, tagged with "@kesashighway.com", has sparked mixed reactions.

Some netizens expressed amusement and gave the Myvi driver the benefit of the doubt.

"He must have forgotten that he's driving a car today. He usually rides a motorcycle to work," said user @zikrizvlkifli.

"Maybe he forgot to change the settings on Waze. He set it to motorcycle mode and forgot to switch it to car mode. Let's just think positively, okay?" said user @zizi11022.
