KUALA LUMPUR: Social media users were left stunned after a TikTok video revealed a parking fee exceeding RM2,000 at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
In the video shared by user @yaya.tasha, she enters her car's registration number at a parking kiosk, only to discover an eye-watering RM2,084 bill after leaving her car parked for 13 days.
The video captures her reaction as she zooms in on the amount displayed, with the humorous "Oh no!" sound playing in the background.
Parking fees at airports are known to be higher than those at other locations, but this revelation still shocked many.
The clip has amassed 444,500 views and 3,700 likes, sparking heated discussion online.
One user, @zerth.roy, expressed disbelief, saying that RM2,000 for 13 days of parking seemed exorbitant, comparing it to significantly lower fees at five-star hotels.
Another user, @matshahh8, jokingly offered to serve as a part-time driver for the same amount, promising to care for the car, provide detailing services, carry luggage, and even treat the owner to a meal.
However, some defended the charges, arguing that they were reasonable given the extended parking duration.
