GEORGE TOWN: Penang Gerakan has given Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng 24 hours to make public all minutes with regards to the decision to sell prime state land in Peel Avenue to a private hospital.
Acting state Gerakan Youth chief Jason Loo said, only by doing so could Lim disprove allegations that the decision was a “one-man” affair.
“I dare the DAP-led Penang government to declassify the minutes of Chief Minister Incorporated (CMI) (with regards to the sale of the land) in the next 24 hours to prove me wrong (that the decision was solely Lim’s). They should also prove that their competency, accountability and transparency (CAT) policy is alive by declassifying the minutes of CMI and any other (relevant) minutes. Otherwise, CAT is dead and buried,” he said.
Penang Gerakan had recently alleged that the sale of the land for RM156 million to a private hospital was a one-man decision.
Lim later denied this, saying that CMI had only executed the sale of the land following a decision made by the state executive council.
