JOHOR BARU: Former Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin urged the current state government to maintain the Hari Raya financial aid given to the state's civil servants.
While acknowledging the statement by current MB Datuk Osman Sapian that the Pakatan Harapan (PH) state government would postpone all the decisions and programmes made by the previous administration and would follow the move of the Federal Government, Khaled expressed his hope that the aid would still be given out.
He informed that the RM1,000 aid would benefit more than 19,000 civil servants in Johor.
"That decision was made earlier, before the general election, in order to assist the civil servants in their preparation for Hari Raya and because Johor can afford it," said Khaled in a statement.
He said this was also a form of reward for the civil servants who served and contributed to the development of Johor.
