SABAK BERNAM: Abdul Mutalib Ahmad has resigned from his post as Sabak Bernam PKR Youth chief.
The news came on the heels of Syed Badli Shah Syed Osman’s resignation as Selangor PKR Youth secretary yesterday due to an alleged “death” of democracy in the party following several political appointments in the state.
Abdul Mutalib, however, denied that he was influenced by any quarter to relinquish his post.
He also denied a news portal’s report which claimed the resignation was due his non-appointment of the Sabak Bernam Municipal Council member.
“I do not have issues with the top leadership, but just a minor understanding with a few down there.
“This is a personal issue which does not involve any party.
“The report was inaccurate. I will submit my resignation letter soon,” Abdul Mutalib said when contacted.
He expressed confidence that party members would pick the best leader for the division’s youth wing in the upcoming party election next month.
