'Selangor still a PH government'

KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor will continue to function as a Pakatan Harapan (PH) government amid the current political developments, said its Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.

Amirudin said this following an audience he had with Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah at Istana Bukit Kayangan in Shah Alam this morning.

The audience also included Amirudin's PH counterparts from DAP and Parti Amanah Negara which were represented by their respective chairmen Gobind Singh Deo and Izham Hashim.

"Tuanku was satisfied with the explanation that the current government intends to continue its commitment to realise the mandate given by the Selangor people in GE 2018.

"Tuanku consented that the Selangor state government administration to function and operate as usual," said Amirudin in a statement today.

Amirudin added that he had conducted meetings with the chairmen of government component parties which included Selangor Bersatu chief Datuk Abdul Rashid Asari to discuss its next course of direction in the state.

"This administration pledges to respect the mandate of the people and implement beneficial agendas for the state as well as its people."
