KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir today announces his resignation as Kedah Menteri Besar.
Reiterating he will remain with Pakatan Harapan (PH), Mukhriz in a press conference today said he does not mind being in the opposition.
He said he already informed the Sultan of Kedah this morning that he has lost the majority of support from the state assemblymen and relinquishes his post, effective immediately.
Meanwhile, it is learned that Jeneri assemblyman, Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, is scheduled to swear in as the new Kedah Menteri Besar at 2pm today.
