KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman has been appointed as Umno's election director for the 15th General Election (GE15).
The appointment which comes into effect today was approved by Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
A copy of Tajuddin's appointment letter was shared with the media.
In the letter, Ahmad Zahid said the jobscope and responsibilities of the party's GE15 election director would be shared later.
"I believe YB Datuk Seri will be able to give your commitment and carry out this responsibility which will then help with Umno and Barisan Nasional's (BN) victory in GE15," Ahmad Zahid said.
Tajuddin is Umno's Pasir Salak MP and a member of the party's Supreme Council.
