KUALA TERENGGANU: Pas vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar says Perikatan Nasional (PN) seat distribution for the 15th General Election (GE15) will be done by next Friday.
He said that allocation would be decided together between PN components including matters pertaining to candidates.
"The seats to be decided on are not only for Terengganu but also for the whole country which will be done within a week's time, which means by Friday the meeting will confirm (which party will run for any of the) state and parliament seats," he said after the Terengganu Football League (TFL) at Stadium Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah yesterday.
He said compares to 20 years ago, the people today would cast vote based on their preferred candidate instead of party.
On comments by analysts who opined that ruling parties in states that refused to dissolve their assemblies would lose state elections post GE15, Ahmad Samsuri said those were just "merely opinions".
"Even before GE14, the analysts had said Pas will lose Kelantan and many others places.
"Like football, people outside the pitch and those playing the game are different. Lionel Messi or Ronaldo also received comments and reactions, but what is more important is the reality on the field.
"But thanks to their opinions, we will work harder. We know the situation on the ground better."
