KUALA LUMPUR: Vehicles carrying senior leaders from the Perikatan Nasional (PN) leaders were seen entering the residence of PN Chairman and Bersatu (PPBM) president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in Bukit Damansara at around 9.50am today.
Among those seen were Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, PN secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin and Perak PN chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu.
It is believed the congregation of PN's top brass is to meet and discuss the formation of the new federal government, following the announcement by Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah yesterday giving party leaders and coalitions heads an extension until 2pm today to propose their preferred candidate of choice for the top post of prime minister.
The political crisis after the 15th General Election (GE15) is into the third day after the announcement of the election results which showed that no side obtained the simple majority of 112 parliamentary seats required to form the new government.
Meanwhile, Hamzah made it known yesterday that PN have already put forth more than 112 Statutory Declarations (SD) from members of the Dewan Rakyat who have shown support for Muhyiddin to become the country's 10th prime minister. -- Bernama
