KUALA LUMPUR: The security around Gate 2 of Istana Negara has been tightened since this morning.
A team of police personnel conducted checks on every vehicle heading towards the main gate and those without any official business were instructed to turn back towards Jalan Bukit Semantan.
In addition, vehicles were also not allowed to be parked at the side of the road exiting Gate 2 by policemen from the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department.
Yesterday, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah summoned all 30 members of Parliament from Barisan Nasional for an audience at Istana Negara today.
Comptroller of the Royal Household Datuk Seri Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin said the ruler would meet the MPs individually starting 10.30am.
