KUALA LUMPUR: Dewan Rakyat members attending the sitting of the lower house tomorrow have been exempted from wearing a tie. The exemption was given the green light by Dewan Rakyat Speaker Datuk Johari Abdul on the request of elected representatives.
"For those wearing a suit, I exempt them from wearing a tie," he said in his remarks before adjourning proceedings for the day.
Johari added that members of parliament attending the Dewan Rakyat session tomorrow can also chose to wear a baju melayu instead of a suit.
