No letter of demand from Sanusi so far, says Home Minister

PUTRAJAYA: Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said he did not get any letter of demand from the caretaker Kedah Menteri Besar regarding the latter's two defamation suits.

"I have not received anything. The difference between us is that I can be reached anytime, and I do not avoid phone calls."

"I can be approached easily without the need to be arrested at 3am," he said, taking a jab at Sanusi's late arrest for allegedly not cooperating with police investigations.

Yesterday, caretaker Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor revealed that he had sent a letter of demand to the home minister for claiming to have proof against Sanusi for stealing rare earth elements (RRE) in Kedah and using RM1.6 billion from the Malaysian Road Record Information System (Marris).
