TASEK GELUGOR: Gerakan president Datuk Dominic Lau Hoe Chai is said to have left the Ceramah Mega Perikatan Nasional (PN) Best in Sungai Dua last night as he was not invited to join in the programme with Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang.
Lau, who is also PN deputy chairman, is candidate for the Bayan Lepas state seat.
Gerakan deputy president Oh Tong Keong, when contacted, confirmed that the party was not invited to the programme.
"I got to know about the programme through Facebook.
"From what I know, the programme may only have been for Pas. Maybe, we were not invited as it was held at a Malay-majority seat or only among the Malays," he said today.
Oh said the relationship between Penang Gerakan and Pas was good, but admitted that the incident has caused dissatisfaction among the grassroots.
"There is no fight between us. Gerakan with Penang Pas commissioner Muhammad Fauzi Yusoff, secretary Iszuree Ibrahim and other leaders is good.
"It is normal for any dissatisfaction among the grassroots in politics.
"Our cooperation with Pas and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) is okay, but it is normal for dissatisfaction among component parties," he added.
The Ceramah Mega PN Best also featured state Bersatu chairman and PN's Penanti seat candidate Zulkifli Bakar as well as Pas vice-president Datuk Idris Ahmad.
