Pas won't work with PH, says Hadi

TEMERLOH: Pas will not work with Pakatan Harapan (PH), says party president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang.

"Pas stands firm with Perikatan Nasional (PN), we want to revive the spirit of Muafakat Nasional (MN) and we have no intention of aligning ourselves with PH," he said in his speech at Pas' 70th Muktamar here in Kerdau.

Hadi said Pas advocated for unity between Muslims and "moderate" non-Muslims who do not oppose Islam. He also said the party rejected hypocrites.

Previously, there were claims that the unity government was in talks with Pas about the possibility of cooperation.

Some unity government leaders including DAP chairman Lim Guan Eng have denied such claims.

Meanwhile, Hadi said Pas' non-Muslim supporters' wing or DHPP must do more to reach out to non-Muslim voters,

"DHPP must reach out (to voters) in a more structured and impactful manner, including actively participating in the state government."
