PH winners in Selangor head to base in Klang

KLANG: More Selangor Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidates who have unofficially won are arriving at Wyndham Hotel here, where the state election results will be officially announced.

Caretaker menteri besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari is expected to make his way here for a press conference later.

Bukit Gasing's Rajiv Rishyakaran, who won his third term, thanked his constituents for having faith in him.

"I will continue with the work I have been doing and will be there for the residents," he said.

Rajiv beat Perikatan Nasional's Nallan Dhanabalan and VKK Raja of Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda).

Meanwhile, first-time candidate V. Papparaidu, who unofficially won the Banting seat with 27,110 votes, thanked DAP leaders for their guidance.

He said Tan Sri Lim Kit Siang, Tan Kok Wai, Nga Kor Ming, Hannah Yeoh and Lau Weng San, who was former Banting assemblyman, had helped him a lot.

"It would be impossible for me to win without them because I am a new guy," he added.

He has unofficially defeated Perikatan Nasional's Saravanan Mutto Krishnan and independent candidate Ang Wei Yang.

Other candidates spotted at th hotel were Sekinchan's Ng Suee Lim and Kampung Tunku's Lim Yi Wei.
