PUTRAJAYA: It is a landslide victory for Pas in Kelantan, after losing only two of 45 seats in the Aug 12 state election.
Based on official results on the Election Commission (EC) online dashboard, Pas was only defeated in the Kota Lama and Galas constituencies.
The Kota Lama state seat was won by Pakatan Harapan candidate Dr Hafidzah Mustakim, with a vote-majority of 202 ahead of Pas' Datuk Zamri Ismail who polled 9,489 votes.
In Galas, Syahbuddin Hashim of Barisan Nasional secured the win with 10,742 votes, which was 3,337 votes ahead of his contender from Pas, Tarmizi Abd Rahman.
Caretaker Kelantan menteri besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob emerged victorious in Pasir Pekan, winning 12,811 more votes than his competitor from PH, Zamakh Sari Him.
Meanwhile, his deputy, Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah won his Panchor state seat with a huge majority of 10,686 votes, polling a total of 18,700 ahead of PH's Syed Mohd Alidustur Syed Mohd Zain.
