KUALA LUMPUR: Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor should focus on his tasks as the Menteri Besar instead of talking about the 'Dubai Move', said unity government spokesperson Fahmi Fadzil.
He said this when asked by reporters to comment over a statement by Sanusi, who claimed that the 'Dubai Move' will come to fruition soon.
"Before he talks about the 'Dubai Move', ask him what happened to the racing circuit in Kedah?
"I feel that he needs to change his approach from commenting on this.
"Perhaps, he should stop doing midnight karaoke with unknown women (on TikTok live) and focus on governing his state."
He also told Sanusi to focus on issues such as the Rare Earth Element (REE) scandal in Kedah and the recent sensation surrounding the Kedah football club.
"I think he has a lot more problems; he's a Menteri Besar, not a member of Parliament (MP).
"Let's all focus on our respective tasks," Fahmi said at a press conference after attending the 'Jualan Termurah Demi Rakyat' community sales in Pantai Dalam, here, today.
Also present were Bukit Gantang MP Datuk Syed Hussin Hafiz Syed.
On Jan 3, the Kedah Menteri Besar confirmed that there is a move by Perikatan Nasional (PN) to topple the Madani government through democratic process that is permitted by the Federal Constitution.
He said the move was engineered based on loopholes in the Anti-hopping law made used by the Madani government to woo the support of five MPs from PN.
Sanusi was responding to Community Communications Department deputy director (community communications) Datuk Ismail Yusop's claims that opposition MPs were plotting to bring down the unity government.
