GUA MUSANG: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today said the Nenggiri electorate must ensure Barisan Nasional's candidate wins in the upcoming by-election so that they can be assured of development.
The Barisan Nasional chairman promised Nenggiri would change within a year after BN wins the by-election.
Zahid said he made the promise as BN was now with the federal government and would ensure development would be brought to Nenggiri.
However, to ensure the promise could be fulfilled, he said the voters in the Nenggiri state seat must back BN's candidate Mohd Azmawi Fikri Abdul Ghani.
"From the many by-elections that l have attended, l can see a different spirit in Nenggiri and this is the sign that we (BN) will win the by-election.
"But to win this seat, our machineries at all levels from youth to women, need to work hard and assist our candidate," Zahid said in his speech when launching the BN election machinery for the N43 Nenggiri state seat at Bukit Cekati here today.
