Jo-Anna's exit has no impact on Warisan, says Shafie

KOTA KINABALU: The departure of Jo-Anna Henley Rampas will not impact Parti Warisan, says its president, Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal.

He said that Jo-Anna's decision to leave was a personal choice.

"It is her right to leave Warisan if she decides to join another party. What truly matters is the people we serve.

"Her departure does not affect us. We continue to attract new members, and our party's strength does not rely on any single individual. If she believes the government led by Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor can address the issues of the past four years, that is her prerogative," he said.

He said this after attending the Warisan President's Tour for the Sepanggar parliamentary constituency.

When asked about Warisan's support for the unity government, Mohd Shafie confirmed the party's ongoing alignment.

However, he also said that Warisan's position would remain unaffected even if it were to be expelled from the current government.

"We are still part of the existing government, but if they choose to expel us, it won't be an issue for me," he added.
