KUALA LUMPUR: PKR has today announced major changes to its key leadership positions to strengthen the party's operations.
PKR vice-president Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad said the changes include Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution stepping down as the party's secretary-general to focus on his role as the Pakatan Harapan's (PH) secretary-general.
He also said all appointments would take effect immediately.
"Saifuddin's position will be taken over by Fuziah Salleh, who is the Pahang PKR leadership council chairman.
"Meanwhile, Fuziah's position will be replaced by Rizal Jamin (the Pahang PKR deputy chairman)," he said in a statement today.
At the state level, the party will see Perak PKR deputy chairman Mohamad Hairul Amir Sabri replacing Chang Lih Kang as the state leadership council chairman.
"Chang will continue to serve as the party's vice president. Similarly, Mohd Azlan Helmi has been appointed as the state leadership council deputy chairman."
PKR central leadership council has also established a management committee with Saifuddin as its advisor.
"The members include vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar, treasurer-general William Leong, Youth deputy chief Muhammad Kamil Munim and Wanita deputy chief Juwairiya Zulkifli."
