Getting vaccinated without official confirmation poser

LETTERS: I had my 2nd dose of Astra Zeneca at Universiti Malaya on Tuesday, July 13.

Unfortunately, the MySejahtera system was down that day and therefore I did not receive my digital certificate or indeed any notification that my second dose had been administered.

I was advised by the staff that my details were in the system and to wait 24 hours for my digital certificate to appear. Unfortunately, I am still waiting and becoming increasingly anxious about it having fallen through the system.

I have since contacted MySejahtera and JKJAV (Special Committee on Covid-19 Supply) and neither have given me any confidence that this matter will be resolved. I was advised to return to the UM PPV which I did but they referred me back to My Sejahtera.

After more research, I discovered that there're a lot of people facing this same issue. And they are just as frustrated as myself at being given the run around by various government agencies.

After sending numerous emails and messages, I finally got a response from MySejahtera yesterday, and was told that their priority is to get people vaccinated (which is fair enough), but by implication, had much less interest in resolving other issues like properly recording vaccinations and issuing certificates.

So how are we, those finding themselves in this predicament, going to be able to take advantage of the reported relaxation of SOP that the government are now proposing for those fully vaccinated, let alone dine or travel when we don't have any electronic document to prove we are fully vaccinated?

I'm writing to you to highlight the situation some of us are facing which many are not aware of as I've exhausted all possibilities in resolving this issue.
