Luxury villas selling for as much as RM15.5 million in Desaru Coast

The developers for Anantara Desaru Coast Residences in Desaru Coast, Johor are selling the resort-branded villas for as high as RM15.5 million each.

There are a total of 20 private pool villas, with build-up size ranging from 3,100 to 6,426 square feet.

According to Minor International vice-president of real Estate, Micah Tamthai, several villas have been reserved by Malaysian property buyers.

Tamthai told NST Property that the selling price for the villas ranges from RM7.5 million to RM1.5 million (RM2,000 to RM3,000 per square ft).

The project was officially launched in the third quarter of this year, she said.

Anantara Desaru Coast Residences is co-developed by Minor International, a hospitality and lifestyle group in the Asia Pacific, and Themed Attractions Resorts & Hotels (TAR&H), a subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional Bhd.

Anantara is a global brand owned by Minor International. This is the first Anantara resort and branded residences in Malaysia.

Minor International is managing Anantara's sister brand, Avani, in Sepang (Avani Sepang Goldcoast Resort).

It is also Minor International's first real estate project in Malaysia; other Anantara branded residential developments are located in Thailand, the UAE, and Indonesia.

The villas will be managed and serviced year-round by the adjacent five-star Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas (operational since December 2019).

Owners and residents will get exclusive access to the resort's world-class amenities, including a private beach, a lagoon pool, an ocean-fronting infinity pool.

Tamthai said that all the units are being sold fully furnished and fitted-out.

"The villas have been constructed. The furnishing and fit-out will be completed in the current quarter," Tamthai said.

Tamthai said the villas are orientated to reveal sweeping views of the South China Sea and offer direct access to an expansive private beach.

Gardens are filled with native foliage to enhance privacy and create a sense of tranquil seclusion, and flat 'green' roofs will allow for local flora to grow across the top and integrate the structure into the landscape over time.

In each villa, an open-plan layout connects en-suite bedrooms with generous living and dining spaces that flow out to the private infinity pool. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass panels let in ample natural light and fresh breezes while maximising ocean views.

The interior spaces are anchored with the integration of natural materials and colours – a matte beige stone floor, brown and grey wood, and textured fabric that evokes the hues and textures of Desaru Coast's sandy beaches and palm trees.
