MGB Berhad, a subsidiary of LBS Bina Group Berhad, has achieved 100 per cent bookings for its Rumah Selangorku Idaman BSP, which was recently launched with 1,312 units.
Idaman BSP in Bandar Saujana Putra is part of the Rumah Selangorku Idaman MBI project, a Selangor state government initiative to provide 30,000 affordable houses to qualifying citizens.
In 2019, MGB formed a joint venture with PNSB Construction Sdn Bhd (PCSB) to form the PCSB-MGB Consortium, with the goal of constructing 7,210 Rumah Selangorku Idaman MBI affordable apartments in strategic locations.
MGB's in-house Industrialised Building System (IBS) pre-cast technology will be used to construct these affordable apartments.
The starting price for a 1,000 sq ft unit with three bedrooms and two bathrooms is RM250,000. The unit includes two parking spaces, air conditioning, a television, kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, a refrigerator, and water heaters.
Malaysians aged 18 and above with a monthly household income of RM3,001 to RM10,000 and a first-time home buyer in Selangor may apply under this initiative.
Idaman BSP is the first of six Rumah Selangorku Idaman MBI-related launches.
Tan Sri Lim Hock San, executive vice-chairman of MGB Group, stated that the Idaman BSP is expected to be completed by 2023.
"We are determined to solve the affordable housing issue and contribute our IBS expertise to ensure that the Selangor public will have the opportunity to become a homeowner," he said in a statement.
Lim stated that MGB is on track to launch the five remaining Rumah Selangorku Idaman MBI projects by the end of 2022 or early 2023.
Idaman KITA (Cybersouth), Idaman Perdana (Bandar Puncak Alam), Idaman Cahaya (Shah Alam), Idaman Sari (Puchong), and Idaman Melur (Cybersouth) are the other five Rumah Selangorku Idaman MBI projects.
Lim said that being a part of the Rumah Selangorku Idaman MBI project will provide the group with consistent revenue.
