Tropicana, Banyan Group to develop Johor's first branded residences, Skypark Kepler

KUALA LUMPUR: Tropicana Corp Bhd has partnered with Singapore-based Banyan Group to launch Skypark Kepler, Johor's first branded residential development.

With a gross development value (GDV) of RM2.1 billion, the project is part of Tropicana's RM80 billion, 163-acre Lido Waterfront Boulevard township.

Spanning four acres, Skypark Kepler will feature two 54-storey towers housing 1,596 fully furnished serviced apartment units.

These residences, available in one- to three-bedroom layouts, range from 436 to 807 square feet, with prices starting at RM790,000 or RM1,800 per square foot. The development will include over 40 facilities and is slated for completion in four to five years.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Tropicana's group chief executive officer, Datuk Mark Rozario described the project as a pivotal achievement.

"Tropicana continues to explore new frontiers with our signature developments. Skypark Kepler stands out as a coastal jewel in Johor, offering comprehensive conveniences and smart city living. With Skypark Kepler, we want to curate transformative experiences for our property purchasers where they can enjoy luxurious lifestyles within a sustainable environment," he said in his speech at the signing ceremony.

"Lido is Tropicana's crown jewel in Johor, and our private preview in Singapore received a positive response and attracted more than 600 visitors. We are confident this project will attract a wider audience from investors, Singapore residents, and lifestyle-seeking purchasers."

He underscored the strategic importance of the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone in driving bilateral economic growth, enhancing trade, and fostering connectivity between the two countries.

"Our Skypark Kepler will be the perfect residential choice for business travellers, upgraders, and savvy investors," he added.

Banyan Group's managing director of property development, Stuart Reading, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, noting that Skypark Kepler will be the eighth addition to the group's Skypark portfolio and its first in Malaysia.

"We are pleased to partner with Tropicana to introduce Skypark Kepler Residences, our first in Malaysia," he said.

Reading said that homeowners will have access to Banyan Group's exclusive Sanctuary Club, which offers privileges across its hotels, resorts, spas, and other lifestyle experiences.

Additionally, owners can participate in Banyan Living, a rental and management services programme, he said.

The group plans to launch a rental platform soon, enabling seamless bookings of both branded and unbranded residences without membership requirements.

During the event, Tropicana also announced brand partnerships with Samsung and Kohler to integrate luxury home fittings, appliances, and sanitary ware into the Skypark Kepler residences, further elevating the project's premium appeal.
