Tang Jie-Ee Wei reach Orleans Masters final after ousting Indonesian duo

KUALA LUMPUR: National mixed doubles Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei today stormed into the final of the Orleans Masters in France.

The world No 26 outplayed Indonesia's Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto-Lisa Ayu Kusumawati 21-10, 21-16 in the last four in just 34 minutes.

They will play Taiwan's Ye Hong Wei-Lee Chia Hsin in the title decider tomorrow.

World No 25 Hong Wei-Chia Hsin advanced after defeating Indonesians Adnan Maulana-Nita Violina Marwah 21-18, 17-21, 21-12.

It will be Tang Jie-Ee Wei's first clash against the Taiwanese.

Paired up only in last November, Tang Jie-Ee Wei showed plenty of promise by winning two titles: the Bangladesh International in November last year and Iran International two months ago.

If Tang Jie-Ee Wei go on to win the final, they will become the first ever Malaysian winners of the Orleans Masters.
