KUALA LUMPUR: World No. 5 Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik continued their underwhelming performance by crashing out in the last 16 of the Indonesia Open.
The former world champions lost 21-16, 21-14 to Taiwan's world No. 25 Lu Ching Yao-Yang Po Han at Istora Senayan today (June 6).
The result was disappointing as the Malaysians were the runners-up in last year's edition.
This will be Aaron-Wooi Yik's last tournament before the Paris Olympics next month, raising significant concerns.
In the past two weeks, they only managed to reach the quarter-finals of the Malaysia Masters and Singapore Open.
