KUALA LUMPUR: The French fans tried to rattle Lee Zii Jia but to no avail, as the world No. 7 marched into the Paris Olympic men's singles quarter-finals at Porte de la Chapelle Arena on Thursday.
The former All England champion defeated Frenchman Toma Junior Popov 21-13, 24-22 in the last 16.
Zii Jia will next take on his friend and world No. 3 Anders Antonsen of Denmark in the quarter-finals on Friday.
