KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian men's pair Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani earned the biggest title of their careers by winning the Japan Open Super 750 today.
The world No. 12 were in top form as they defeated South Korean world champions Kang Min Hyuk-Seo Seung Jae 21-19, 21-15 at Yokohama Arena.
The victory made them the first Malaysian men's doubles winners in the tournament since Chan Chong Ming-Chew Choon Eng last accomplished the feat in 2002.
Sze Fei-Izzuddin have now amassed five World Tour titles, but this one is particularly significant as their previous victories were from Super 300 or lower-tier tournaments.
