KUALA LUMPUR: National badminton mixed doubles Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei have reached the Korea Open semi-finals.
They defeated compatriots Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai 21-18, 21-11 in 34 minutes in the quarter-final today at the Mokpo Indoor Stadium in Seoul.
This is Tang Jie-Ee Wei's first win over Soon Huat-Shevon this year after losing twice to the latter at the Malaysia Masters and Swiss Open.
They will meet the winners of the match between Taiwan's scratch pair Nicole Gonzales Chan-Ye Hong Wei and China's Cheng Xing-Zhang Chi in the semi-finals.
