KUALA LUMPUR: World No. 9 Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei clinched their first World Tour title of the season at the Korea Open on Sunday.
In the mixed doubles final at Mokpo Indoor Stadium in Seoul, Tang Jie-Ee Wei overcame China's world No. 241 Guo Xin Wa-Li Qian 17-21, 21-13, 21-13 in 59 minutes.
The victory comes as a perfect celebration for Malaysia following the nation's 67th Merdeka Day on Saturday.
