Justin aims to prove BAM right

KUALA LUMPUR: Shuttler Justin Hoh survived the BAM culling of the national team this week.

He was one of four men's singles retained. The others in the senior roster were Ng Tze Yong, Leong Jun Hao and Eogene Ewe Eon

World No. 51 Justin wants to show BAM that it made the right decision in keeping him by shining in the Malaysia Super 100 at Stadium Juara later this month.

Last year, Justin's career hit a bump due to a serious Achilles injury.

But Justin, 20, put all that behind him by reaching four finals and winning three of them this year.

The former Asian Junior champion won the Slovenia Open, Saipan International and Sukma titles, and also finished second in the Northern Marianas Open.

"I'm looking forward to playing at the Malaysia Super 100. I hope to get a good result on home ground," he said.

Justin's target is to finish in the top 40 in the world rankings by the end of the year. Hence a podium finish at the Malaysia Super 100 would put him in the right direction.
