KUALA LUMPUR: Independent pair Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani toppled world No. 1 Liang Wei Keng-Wang Chang of China to reach the Arctic Open men's doubles final in Vantaa, Finland, today.
The world No. 8 fought back from a game down to beat Wei Keng-Wang Chang 19-21, 21-17, 21-18 in 62 minutes.
It was Sze Fei-Izzuddin's first win over the Paris Olympic silver medallists in four meetings.
Tomorrow, Sze Fei-Izzuddin will be targetting their third World Tour title of the season after winning the Japan Open and China Open.
Sze Fei-Izzuddin will face defending champions Kim Astrup-Adners Skaarup Rasmussen of Denmark or Thailand's Dechapol Puavaranukroh-Kittinupong Kedren in the final.
Meanwhile, independent mixed doubles pair Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai's run came to an end in the last four after losing 21-14, 21-8 to world No. 3 Jiang Zhen Bang-Wei Ya Xin of China.
