KUALA LUMPUR: Independent men's doubles pair Ong Yew Sin-Teo Ee Yi stunned world No. 4 Fajar Alfian-Rian Ardianto of Indonesia to storm into the second round of the Malaysia Open Super 1000 today.
World No. 24 Yew Sin-Ee Yi bounced back from a first-game blemish to beat Fajar-Rian 15-21, 21-15, 21-13 in 62 minutes at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil.
It was the Malaysian pair's third consecutive victory over Fajar-Rian, who won the Malaysia Open in 2023.
