KUALA LUMPUR: Former Penang defender Reinaldo Lobo has reported the M-League club to Fifa after claiming they did not pay him for six months in 2017.
The Brazilian said he will not give face as he has been patient far too long over this matter.
"The Penang FA (PFA) did not pay me for six months.
"It is a huge amount and PFA's failure to settle it has affected my livelihood.
"I did go to PFA to settle the issue amicably, but they did not respond accordingly
"Fifa was my final resort...I had no choice. I have also gone to the FA of Malaysia (FAM) over this matter.
"I am now waiting for a ruling from both bodies," said Reinaldo on Tuesday.
Reinaldo's most memorable moment at Penang was helping them finish second in the 2015 Premier League for promotion to the Super League.
The club, however, replaced the 30-year-old during last season's mid-season transfer window due to a serious injury.
But Reinaldo remained with the club and served out his contract that expired on Nov 30 last year.
"I still love Penang, although they will play in the Premier League next season.
"Frankly, I am sad with the way they had treated me after I got injured," said Reinaldo, who may join Indonesian club PSMS Medan.
