KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's Ahmad Muhaimin, also known as Minbappe, created history by winning the FIFAe World Cup today.
Muhaimin clinched the title after defeating Morocco's AN10_Tiennes, in the final of the eFootball Mobile category in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
He won the first match 3-0 and the second match 2-0, emerging as the world champion in this category which saw him bringing home US$20,000 (RM88,000) in prize money.
Minbappe's title run saw him recording five wins and two draws in the group stage.
The five victories came against challengers from Turkiye, Poland, Argentina, Morocco, and Portugal,
while the draws came in matches against Saudi Arabia and Thailand.
Minbappe also became the only eFootball Mobile player to advance to the quarter-finals without a single defeat.
He continued his excellent run by defeating Japan in the quarter-finals and India in the semi-finals, before sealing the win with a stunning performance in the final.
