KUALA LUMPUR: The FA of Malaysia (FAM) should take stern action on Perak’s Wander Luiz and Leandro Dos Santos for their overzealous celebrations after their team netted the equaliser against Terengganu in Saturday’s Malaysia Cup final.
Terengganu’s Igor Zonjic deflected a Perak cross past his own goalkeeper, Suffian Rahman in the final minute of extra-time. Perak won 4-1 on penalties after a 3-3 draw in regulation time.
Former FAM disciplinary committee chairman Kamarudin Abdullah said Luiz and Dos Santos taunted Zonjic when he scored the own goal.
“Both players were trying to provoke matters and insult Zonjic. FAM should take action on them,” he said.
