LIVERPOOL will look to secure Jurgen Klopp’s long-term future with a £10 million-a-year deal after he took the club back to the pinnacle of European football.
Hundreds of thousands of fans lined the city’ s streets as Klopp’s squad paraded the European Cup after returning from their 2-0 win over Tottenham in the Champions League final in Madrid.
Klopp has three seasons left on his £7m-a-year deal but Liverpool’s owners will look to improve and potentially extend his terms.
Sportsmail believes Fenway Sports Group are ready to offer the 51-year-old German a salary of £10m.
Liverpool chairman Tom Werner said: When the players threw Jurgen in the air after our victory, they were acknowledging what all Liverpool fans know he is beloved by all who appreciate football.
Jurgen is a brilliant coach. But, just as importantly, he is a humble and caring man who is happy today because he knows what this meant to our supporters. — Daily Mail
