FAM have instructed their referees department to do a study on Video Assistant Referee (VAR).
Referees committee chairman Datuk S. Sivasundaram said he is waiting for a report on the usage of VAR in neighbouring countries (Thailand and Vietnam).
"It's good (to use VAR) but let's do a study on it first. There will be a meeting to meet all the consultants.
"It is a lot of money and I can't really tell you now when we can enforce something like VAR.
"But what's important is for us to study everything first. We will bring this up during the next exco meeting."
Two weeks ago, former referees association chairman Subkhiddin Mohd Salleh said during his term at FAM, they were preparing to get Malaysia ready for VAR technology.
However, the idea was scrapped in 2018, prior to Subkhiddin's resignation.
The cost of installing VAR in one stadium can go up to US$150,000 (RM616,710), which means about RM7.4 million for 12 venues in the Super League.
Meanwhile, Sivasundaram urged players to "respect" match officials.
"Referees have families, children and many are formerly senior officers in the army, police or were teachers.
"I am asking the players, foreign or local, please-lah... don't push them (physically), argue with them.
"Because that's not going to change the result of the game."
