Trucha still trusts his men despite losses

KOTA BARU: Three losses in four matches. Yet Kelantan United coach Tomas Trucha is not pressing the panic button.

Their latest Super League setback was 3-2 against Kedah at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium in Kota Baru on Monday.

Though Kelantan scored two goals through Devid Silva (21st minute) and Yan Victor Silva (penalty, 88th), Kedah got one more through Willian Sousa (34th), Manuel Gasparini (penalty, 45th) and Al Hafiz Harun (79th).

Despite the defeat, Czech Trucha was still happy with the way his players performed. And he believes the club are on the right track.

Trucha, who guided unfancied Penang to a creditable third place in 2021, said: "The players followed the tactical plan, they showed character, and they fought.

"We are in the right direction, we have a lot of games to play, and the players are getting better/

|Smetimes you need to be patient, I think the time to collect points will come."

Kedah assistant coach Victor Andrag who was in the dugout for the suspended head coach Nafuzi Zain, said his players managed to bounce back despite falling behind.

"Credit to our players despite their morale being a bit down following the result of the last two matches."

Kedah are now fourth in the 14-team standings with nine points after four matches while winless Kelantan United are rooted at the bottom of the table.
