Red Warriors left red faced by 8-0 thrashing

KUALA LUMPUR: The Super League match was delayed for one hour 36 minutes by heavy rain. Then Kelantan FC found themselves drowning in goals.

Terengganu hit the hosts with a torrent of eight goals. At the other end, for Kelantan to score even one goal was like squeezing water from a stone.

So, it's Terengganu 8 Kelantan 0 at the Sultan Muhd IV Stadium. For the Kelantan fans who had to endure the 10:36pm kickoff instead of the normal 9pm, they should have stayed home. And the Red Warriors were left red-faced.

Terengganu apparently felt that eight is enough as after 70 minutes, the Turtles decided to slow down after averaging one goal every nine minutes.

Croatian Ivan Mamut struck a hat-trick, scoring in the 14th, 53rd and 66th minutes. Teremggamu's other scorers were Nurillo Tukhtasinov (27th), Nik Muhammad Sharif Haseefy Mohd Lazim (36th), Engku Muhammad Nur Shakir Engku Yacob @ Engku Azman (41st) and Safwan Mazlan (47th) and Hakimi Abdullah (63rd)
