Pan Gon names his latest national squad for World Cup campaign

KUALA LUMPUR: Coach Kim Pan Gon has retained 16 of his 24 national

players for the World Cup qualifiers against Kyrgyzstan (June 6) and Taiwan (June 11).

The new recruits roped in by Pan Gon include goalkeepers Kalamullah Al-Hafiz Mat Rowi (Kedah) and Abid Ra'op (Penang), Feroz Baharudin (Johor Darul Ta'zim), Declan Lambert (KL City), Syafiq (Kedah) and Engku Shakir Engku Yacob (Terengganu).

Missing from the squad due to injuries are Faisal Halim, Arif Aiman Hanapi, Azam Azmi Murad, and Romel Morales.

Pan Gon has also listed 22 players on the standby list, including JDT's Afiq Fazail and Nathaniel Shio, Selangor's Aliff Haiqal Lokman Hakim Lau and Mukhairi Ajmal Mahadi.
