Pan Gon leads Ulsan to K-League title after leaving Harimau Malaya

KUALA LUMPUR: After quitting as chief coach of Harimau Malaya in July, Kim Pan Gon has led South Korean club, Ulsan Hyundai, to the K-League 1 title.

The South Korean made an impressive return to his homeland, orchestrating eight victories and two draws since taking charge of Ulsan on July 28.

Pan Gon has also steered Ulsan to the Korean FA Cup final against Pohang Steelers on Nov 30.

However, Pan Gon's Ulsan met setbacks in the Asian Champions League Elite (ACLE), suffering defeats against Japan's Yokohama F. Marinos (4-0) and Vissel Kobe (2-0).

Pan Gon will return to Malaysia with Ulsan to play against Johor Darul Ta'zim in an ACLE match next week.
