KUALA LUMPUR: The Merdeka Tournament is set to be held in September this year.
FAM Local Competitions Committee chairman Firdaus Mohamed said three countries will be invited to play aganst Malaysia, same as last year's format.
He said the National Team Committee, which also includes coach Kim Pan Gon, will decide which teams to invite.
Tajikistan won the Merdeka Tournament last year at the National Stadium after defeating Malaysia 2-0. In the semi-final, Malaysia beat India 4-2.
