FFP auditors visit errant Super League clubs

KUALA LUMPUR: Auditors from the Malaysian Football League (MFL) have knocked on the doors of two errant clubs.

And a stern warning has also been issued to them over failure to pay salaries to their players.

MFL started enforcing its Financial Fair Play (FFP) audits earlier this month following reports that several Super League clubs haven't been able to pay salaries to their players.

"MFL has taken notice of reports regarding salary arrears in several clubs, and we have already initiated FFP audit visits to two of these clubs earlier this month.

"We are actively engaging with other affected clubs to address these issues promptly," said MFL chief executive officer, Datuk Stuart Ramalingam.
