KUALA LUMPUR: KL City upstaged Selangor 1-0 in a Super League match at the KLFA Stadium today.
In the fiercely contested Klang Valley Derby, both sides created numerous chances in the first half, but could not find the net.
It was left to KL City's 25-year-old Bosnian winger, Jovan Motika to break the deadlock. He scored the decisive goal in the 63rd minute and snapped Selangor's three-game winning streak.
The goal, however, led to Selangor fans accusing KL City players of time-wasting tactics to protect their lead.
Despite Selangor's relentless pressure in the closing stages of the match, KL City's defence held firm, and handed Selangor their first defeat in four matches.
