KUALA LUMPUR: After three consecutive defeats, in the FA Cup and Super League, coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee is calling for his Sabah team to stop the rut as they host Negri Sembilan at Likas Stadium tomorrow.
The Rhinos suffered a crushing 7-0 aggregate loss to Terengganu in the FA Cup quarter-finals, followed by a 3-1 defeat to Johor Darul Ta'zim in a league match a week later.
Kim Swee said that these results are unacceptable, and warned that Negri Sembilan are no pushover, especially after the Deer upstaged Sri Pahang 2-0 in Temerloh.
"We need to buck up after three losses in a row. It's time to wake up," said Kim Swee.
Negri coach Azzmi Aziz said he is hopeful that his team will continue their momentum after the Pahang win.
Negri currently sit at the bottom of the Super League table with only three points from four games, while Sabah are in mid-table with seven points from four games.
